The Rainforest Trust

Running in and of itself is a selfish act.  But as one of Eric and Paul’s running heroes 2012 Boston Marathon Champion Wesley Korir once told them, running can also be used to raise money to help others or to raise awareness for causes they care about.

One cause that Eric and Paul are passionate about is Rainforest Conservation.

They are just two people, but they want to do their part to make a difference.

As part of their world record attempt, they will be raising money for the Rainforest Trust, a charity dedicated to the protection of threatened tropical forests and endangered wildlife through the purchase of acres of endangered land.  Please visit www.rainforesttrust.org for more information.

Bruce Trail Ultra FKT

The Bruce Trail is Canada’s oldest long distance hiking trail, dating back to the early 1960s. The route starts from Tobermory and follows the Niagara Escarpment to Queenston featuring a variety of terrain. From rocky, hilly singletrack to forests and farm fields, as well as some gravel and paved roads.

The Fastest Known Time (FKT) on the 890-km route was previously set by Adam Burnett in 2017 in nine days, 21 hours. We will be pacing John on Day 2&3 and on the final day of the record setting attempt where he will need all the help he can get!
