    I was coached by Eric Chan & part of the perfect stride running club from 2017-2018 primarily marathon training. I would recommend training for those not only interested in marathons but also in Ultramarathons. My weekly runs were updated timely on an app and my goals discussed at the beginning of each training season. I was very impressed with the level of communication, I was able to text Eric on what’s app and response was immediate if not within the day with any questions or concerns . I had thorough workouts with great race day strategies and occasionally runs with the group when we were able to.

    Eric is an excellent running coach. He is very detail oriented. Using variance different training strategies to tailor to my needs. I have improved my running form so much while under his watch. I love the facts that he is always available to answer my questions. Having a coach that lives in Canada while I am in Chicago could be a huge issue. But such issue becomes non-issue under the coaching of Eric who is a great communicator. I would definitely recommend Eric to anyone who is interested in running. He would take care of you in all aspects of running including proper nutrition, running gears, custom training plan, mental prep for a race, life balance, perfect running form. After every running race, he would spent hours to go over your race to see what went well and what didn’t go so well. He would never leave any stone unturned making sure that we learn from the past mistakes and incorporate new found knowledge to the next training section.     I began training with Perfect Stride on the back end of a rather serious Achilles heel injury so it was crucial for me to train with a coach and a training system that was familiar with running injuries and the complexities of returning to training after injury. Perfect stride was a great fit I was given personally tailored training programmes that saw me through my recovery and back to full-time training.

    Every athlete is different what works for one won’t necessarily work for another, a coach must know his or her athletes and how to get the best out of each one of them. You definitely get that out of Perfect stride coaching and training philosophy and systems.

    Feedback is crucial during a training block and with perfect stride, you get either as much or as little feedback as you need, they have a great feedback loop that allows you to ask questions and understand why you are doing certain specific workouts.
